If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a moving picture must be worth a million. Flash animation can achieve results that would be impossible with static media. Whether to inform, entertain or educate, Expression can deliver a Flash project to dazzle your audience.

Our Flash production process is usually accomplished in the following general stages:

Planning

  1. Content Organization
  2. Storyboarding
  3. Design and Animation Planning

Design and Production

  1. Interface Design
  2. Multimedia Production
  3. Production and Programming
  4. Beta Launch
  5. Delivery to final server

Please note that each above step is followed by a quality-control process by Expression and yourself to make sure that the project is evolving in the right direction and meets your criteria.

While Expression offers a complete service from planning to launch, we can also help your organisation with any individual steps of the process if required.

Let’s take a closer look at each individual steps:

Content Organization
In many of our projects, this task is accomplished internally by our clients themselves. However, we also offer our services to help you define a clear and precise script, as well as assist you to organize the content you may want to include in your Flash animation.

Storyboarding
Based on your script, Expression will work with you to develop a storyboard which will serve as a guide for the animation design and programming

Design and Animation Planning
At this stage, a careful study of your company’s existing media and visuals is conducted. Finally, a series of open discussions between your company and our designers are conducted to capture your vision.

Please note that if your company has as existing branding guide (for printed and/or electronic media), we will comply with it: staying true to your primary and secondary colors, as well as font choices whenever possible.

Interface Design
Flash animations can vary a lot. Some are simply watched and require no interaction from the viewer. Others can include a lot of interactivity with the user. If interactivity if required, at this stage all the interactive elements (and their various behaviours) are designed.

Multimedia Production
Depending on the type of animation we are producing, we may need audio and video media. Here again, Expression has you covered with professional Studio Recording and Video Production.

Production and programming
This step may vary a lot depending on what type of animation we are producing. At this stage we animate all the elements that appear on screen, programme all user-interactive features and incorporate any audio and video media as required.

Beta Launch
Once the production is complete (or even before completion), the animation is hosted on a private URL where you and your team can evaluate it.

Delivery on final server
Flash animations are used in a variety of ways.  Regardless of their final use, Expression can assist you to get it to its final destination.
